Can't create new sites in Windows when WP admin password has ampersand

I’m just reporting a bug I found in the password creation.

No question.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Yes.

Describe the steps that others can take to replicate this issue. If you have screenshots that can help clarify what is happening, please include them!

Simply create a local site and choose an admin password with an ‘&’ in it.

For example, I created a website with the password “password&password” and got this error:

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?

Latest.

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    • For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional

Windows 10

  • Attach the Local Log. See this Community Forum post for instructions on how to do so:

Right now, Local on Windows can’t handle passwords that have an ampersand. This was first discovered here and includes a link to the bug tracker for this issue:
