Can't open site

my site won’t open

It was working fine until a few days ago, now I can’t open either my admin or my site. I get this message:

This site can’t be reached

pwpwordpressversion.local refused to connect.

Try:

• Checking the connection
• Checking the proxy and the firewall

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

I only have one site at the moment. I’m on Local 5.10.0 +5257. Running High Sierra 10.13.6

Can anyone offer any advice. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, etc.

I was having the same issue. Same OS version. But Local 5.9.7+5156, which interestingly, Local told me was the newest version.

For me, it seemed like an SSL trust issue, though the certificate was marked trusted and I could even see it in my Keychain marked as trusted.

I was able to create a new test site and access that alright.

Only thing that got my site running again was updating it to Wordpress to 5.6.2. Then magically the site loaded again.

I had also updated VirtualBox, but that didn’t seem to help.

Can you access the site without SSL/TLS? Using http:// instead of https:// .

You may need to change the site setting in the wp_options table, so that it doesn’t try to redirect back https…
