When I go to setup a site with Local, even with a Custom environment checked, I have no way of changing the MySQL version. I need to be able to set it to 5.7. How can I achieve this?
If you’re using the beta (the 5.0x branch) you can’t. You need to use the 3.x branch. This is one of the bigger limitations of version 5 - you can only use the latest PHP and MySQL right now.
Thanks for letting me know rickg. Are there any plans to allow for different versions of mysql in the 5.0x branch in the future?
They’ve said that they’ll back the ability to use prior versions of both but don’t have a definite timeline that I’ve seen.
