Thank you for all the details with this! We don’t have a fix yet, but you might take a look at this reply that has a way to more quickly get the script for a specific site:
That’s a valuable thread, but it seems I’m precluded from it since “Open Site Shell” is still required and yet that’s the part not opening/working for me… I’m fine with what I have for now but am hoping for a decently-timely fix in an upcoming release. Appreciate you and the team!
Yeah, it’s a little odd how this bug is, and I get how it’s annoying.
You’ll still need to click “Open Site Shell” at least once for every new site that’s created. This will create the shell script even if it doesn’t open a terminal window.
Once that script has been created, it will stay there, and you should be able to use it reliably, even after restarts.
I’m glad the “Open Site Shell” is working for you!
The Reveal in Finder bug is a newer one we found and were able to work on a fix. That code didn’t make it into the 5.9.6 release, but it should be released soon!
I thought I’d follow up with this thread that the latest version of Local should have the “Open Site Shell” working in BigSur. The specific version that fixed this was 5.9.6
