PHP Version 7.3.5 is x64, but the 7.4.1 version is still x86

Local 5.4.1 on Windows 10

PHP Version 7.3.5 is x64, but the 7.4.1 version is still x86.

Under x64 local is 2x faster!

Thanks

Hey @royrogers!

If you’re using PHP 5.6 or 7.4, you may need to remove the PHP directories in “%AppData%\Local\lightning-services” and let Local re-download 5.6 and 7.4 to get this to work.

You might also see a little bit more info on that here: https://feedback.localwp.com/feature-requests/p/64-bit-php-binaries-for-windows

Hope this helps!

Hi everyone,

I have download and installed Local FlyWheel for Windows and also I have chosen PHP 7. 3.5. So easy and very nice (I had used it before and it keeps being a great experience, congrats!. Then I created a Multisite and try to import with the plugin “All in One Migration” the site. But it failed and told me that it is needed 64-bits. This is the same that happened to me last time and the reason I couldn’t use FlyWheel.

I have read some comments and apparently this issue was solved. Do I have to choose PHP 5 or something else? If it is that the case I cannot from the site created. Do I have to create a new site and choose a specific configuration in order to have PHP 64-bits?

Thank you very much

HI there

This happened to me when I switched to version 7.4.1. I don’t know why but PHP Version 7.3.5 is x64 and the 7.4.1 version is still x86.

Under x64 local is 2x faster!
