Safari and chrome "cannot connect server" suddenly

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular? I only host one site locally.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Can you access the site without SSL/TLS? Using http:// instead of https:// .

You may need to change the site setting in the wp_options table, so that it doesn’t try to redirect back https…

Thanks - tried both and it did not work.
But here is a workaround that did. I exported the site to a zip file then imported it back in as a new site2. I accidentally tried the original site and Safari found it!!! So I deleted site2 and am back working. I am 95% done with the site and can’t wait to publish it online.
