SSL trust and default app issues with Local on Windows 10

Issue Summary

Hello, I have just run a fresh install of Local by Flywheel on a new Windows 10 PC and noticed a handful of issues:

  1. SSL works, but Local seems to still prompt me to “Trust” the site and activate SSL. This is evident in the SSL column beside below Site Domain, and also at the top of the window. I click Trust and accept admin privileges and then the Trust fades out, but then when I return it is back to being green. This may be related to this problem I am having, where I cannot use AWS services due to the SSL not being recognised by Amazon (despite my browser recognising it) - SSL certificate problem on Windows - Support - Local Community.

  2. In Preferences, in Appearance & Behaviour: Default Apps does not seem to recognise that I have other Terminal or Browsers installed. For example, I have Windows Terminal and Ubunto Terminal but these are not options. Because of this, I cannot run command utilities like apt. Also, I have Chrome installed, but the Browser list does not let me select it.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in par All.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser? Yes.

Replication

I just installed Local by Flywheel (latest) on Windows 10 Home (latest).

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used? 5.9.0+4961

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • Microsoft Windows 10 Home (10.0.19041 Build 19041)
  • Local Log: local-lightning.log (110.9 KB)

Thank you!
