Unable to import site - error not allowed unless binary mode is enabled

I’m trying to import my first site. I was able to create one locally without issue. My database backup is .gz instead of .sql. I read that I could just change the extension and that should work, so I tried that, I get most of the way through the import and then I get this long error message saying this is not allowed unless binary mode is enabled. Any advice?

Anyone have any ideas on this? I’m kind of stuck until I get this worked out.

.gz is a compression format gzip. You will need to decompress the file.

Thanks. I got a new error this time. Table local.options doesn’t exist. I guess I should open another topic to reflect the new error? Not finding any reference to it in the forum.

Can you list the files that were in the gzip archive?

Thanks for the reply. I ended up extracting the database file again and this time I got it to import but now I’m getting an error that says [Site Not Found The site you requested does not have an associated route in Local. If you continue to get this message after refreshing, try restarting the Local site] local-lightning.log (77.2 KB)

I commented on this topic which also had the same error but haven’t heard back there yet.
