Please help me fix MySQL not allowing "&" in password

Hi, I’m finally narrowing down the problem and would really like some help.
It seems that this is a MySQL related issue…

I am no longer able to use the & character in my passwords when creating or importing a site.
Local throws up the error. Clearly, using “&” character in a password should not be a problem.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Local but hasnt fixed the issue. Also tried various versions of SQL.

Anyone know how I can fix this issue? Sounds like part of my SQL functionality is broken…

Hey @metrosuperstar – This is a known issue for Windows environments:

Can you upvote the linked bug to help us gauge how often it occurs? Until a fix can be implemented, I think you’ll have to avoid using that character in a password when creating a new site.

If you absolutely need that character within the password, then I think you should be able to use a simpler password, and then update it after the site has been created.
