WordPress Admin super slow, is it normal?

I’m using local by Flywheel (on Windows) for the first time to create a brand new website. But it’s super super slow to work on it, is it normal ? I tried to desactivate many plug ins, but it still the same. The only one not desactivated is “page builder”, would it be because of that? Any idea ?

Thank you !

Hey @floriethielin, sorry about the super, super slow experience  Let’s get Local roaring like the lion it was born to be :lion:

Below is a list of possible solutions/problems. If you would, please try both the first 2 items and see if that corrects the problem. If it doesn’t, hopefully the next 2 will help shed some light on the problem.

  1. Faster Docker Volumes may not be enabled. Navigate to Preferences » Advanced to enable Faster Docker Volumes
  2. There is DNS delay. Enable IPv6 Loopback under Preferences » Advanced
  3. There is a slow query, slow outbound request, or something of that nature causing the pages to load slower. Query Monitor is a great tool to check.
  4. In some cases, the computer running Local can cause a slowdown due to other applications running, lack of an SSD, slower processor, etc.

Thanks, and let us know how it goes!
